Lost Bitcoin

I mined bitcoin in 2011 or 2012- How do I find my old wallet?
I know for a fact that sometime in 2011or 2012 I signed up for a mining pool and ran the MacMiner app on my Mac OS X to mine bitcoin. I remember getting a wallet address - does this mean the wallet was for sure on an exchange or could it be in my email that I used back then. I got the old Mac out and tried to search for a wallet.dat file and could not find one but I'm not sure if I would have done this via an exchange or not. Any emails regarding signing up for an exchange or an "online" wallet. would be in an email that I don’t use anymore and I’m trying to recover my old p.w. to get access to that Do I have any hope? Am I searching in vain? What are the chances of recovering any bitcoin if I had that software running for approx. 6 months in 2011/2012 ?
Yes, I barely know what I'm talking about. I know this. Sorry in advance.

Amateur LTC/BTC Q's

Hey,
I'm really interested in the idea of mining some LTC however keep coming into an issue of sort! I have a Mac Pro and running between the Asteroid and MacMiner programs to attempt some kind of mining..
I have joined mining pools on both Supr Nova, We Mine Ltc and Coinotron. I've kind of grasped the roots of setting up workers and bringing this into the miner but the wheel keeps spinning and never gets to any actual mining.
Is LTC worth mining, what are the returns on this?
I have little to no money to invest so I was considering buying small bits of LTC to build up in trading, would this be better than buying smaller shares in Bitcoin?
Thanks for any help and advice, I'll be happy to give more info if needs be if this is something someone can help out on :)
I hope everyone is well! :)

Having trouble getting up and running.

New to bitcoin, sorry if this is a painfully basic question. I am running OS X 10.9.5 with macminer and a wallet set up with blockchain.
Is there a better client than macminer?
Also, is there something specific I need to do to make my computer see the usb miners? I just keep getting kicked off and never pick up any action.

Why am I not mining?

I set up MacMiner to mine dogecoin on my macbook air's CPU (yes I know its bad for my computer but I have free electricity and I want some doge), but for some reason, it seems like I'm not actually mining.
Now, I have used my processor to mine for bitcoin in the past, and as little as it did get me, it did work. Now, I'm looking for some help on mining dogecoin.
In the dock, the icon shows that I'm getting ~900Kh, I'm not sure if thats realistic or what, but when in the updating log file, it says I'm getting 0 Kh/s.
Here is the log file

Massive upload rate (8-20mbps, ~30GB uploaded overnight)...

I started mining Dogecoin last night. I'm just getting into crypto mining and trying to figure stuff out. Not intending to be profitable (not immediately anyway), I just want to see how this works.
I'm using MacMiner and had been mining Bitcoin for a few days, with nothing out of the ordinary. I switched to Dogecoin and it seemed to be fine, but then I started playing with the Intensity setting. I upped it from the default "4" to "10" and saw the spike in upload. Didn't realize till this morning to take it back down.
Now it's been back to 4 for around half an hour and I'm not seeing those upload rates anymore.
Has anyone else experienced this?
